Milan, 7 September 2007 Milan’s bid to host the 2015 Expo will be represented at Macef 2007. The show will be held at the Fiera Milano Rho-Pero exhibition grounds, from 7 to 10 September, and on a net surface of 107,000 sqm will attract 2,054 exhibitors, 23.6% of whom from abroad.

At Palazzo Marino, the Milan City Council and the Ministry of the Environment signed a promotion and cooperation agreement on the “Sustainable Energy for Europe” campaign and Milan’s bid to host the 2015 Expo. The agreement is the result of intense joint efforts made by the Milan Councillor for Mobility, Transportation and the Environment, Edoardo Croci, and the Ministry of the Environment’s Head of Environmental Research and Development, Corrado Clini, who drafted a plan mapping out cooperation opportunities between the two authorities on the front of sustainable energy, a key pillar of Milan’s bid to host the 2015 Expo.
